ABCs

I sing the ABCs to Braylon all the time.  Lately, I have just been singing the first four so he could catch on.  It only took a few times of me singing ABCD for him to repeat it back to me.  He now will sing "A-B-C-B (not 'D')."  He will just spontaneously start singing "A-B-C-B" while he's playing.

The Children's Museum

Today we took a trip to Houston to visit the Children's Museum.  London and her mommy, Erica, rode with us.  Braylon thought it was pretty cool that London was sitting next to him.  The twins, Liam and Jackson, also joined us.  We all had a blast!  There are so many things for all ages at this place, including indoor and outdoor activities.  I can't wait to take Braylon back.

We started out at the "How Does it Work?" Exhibit.
TESTING VISCOSITY OF LIQUIDS....OBVIOUSLY THIS SECTION WAS FOR THE OLDER KIDS, BUT THEY STILL ENJOYED IT.

TESTING DENSITY

The next few photos are in an area called "Kidtropolis."  It had all these different rooms where the kids could go in and explore different types of careers.  Some of the rooms were Police/FBI/Medical, News Broadcaster, City Hall, Grocery, and Vet Clinic.

BUYING GROCERIES AT H.E.B.  THIS WAS MY FAVORITE :)

After "Kidtropolis," we went up stairs to the "Tot Zone," which was for kids 35 months and under.

BRAYLON LOVED ALL THE DIFFERENT CARS AND TRUCKS

THIS RANDOM LADY KEPT TELLING BRAYLON "GO GET ANOTHER ONE," AND EACH TIME HE WOULD GET A BLOCK AND BRING IT BACK TO HER.

THERE WERE ALSO A LOT OF CARS AND TRICYCLES OUTSIDE THE "TOT ZONE."

OUR LAST STOP BEFORE LEAVING WAS "FLOW WORKS" WHERE THEY HAD FUN WATER STUFF TO EXPERIMENT WITH.  AS SOON AS BRAYLON SAW WHAT WAS AHEAD, HE RAN UP AND STUCK HIS HAND IN THE WATER AND SAID "WA-WA!", WITH A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE.

SMILING AT LONDON...THEY WERE TOO CUTE DANCING AND PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER IN THE CAR.

More From This Weekend

Friday night we had some frozen yogurt from 3 Spoons.  Braylon is a big fan of M&Ms.

Saturday morning we sat in time-out for hitting.  This started about a week and a half ago.

We finished up the final touches on the new shower in our bathroom.

Sunday morning, Braylon rode on the Ranger with Daddy, climbed up on Daddy's lawnmower, and helped us clean out the Tahoe.

Such a big boy.  Notice the outfit- camo shorts with a red, white and blue shirt.  Daddy dressed him that morning and when I said "he doesn't match," Brad's response was "camo goes with everything."  I beg to differ.  I do love these boots cousin Brady let us borrow though!  Darlin' cute, and it just so happens Mommy and Daddy have a pair just like them. :)

Gramma Dar Visit

Gramma Dar came to visit Saturday morning, and brought Braylon this Sesame Street Playhouse that used to be Brad's.  He loves it and it will keep him entertained for quite a while.  He had this serious look on his face the whole time.

Huntsville State Park

Friday morning, we went to check out the State Park here in Huntsville.  Braylon had never been there before.  We walked around for over an hour, and played at a little swing set for a while also.  Being there made for a peaceful morning hike with lots of trees for shade.

This picture didn't turn out, but that sign says "DO NOT TEASE OR FEED ALLIGATORS.'  Yes, alligators are in this lake, which really made me on edge.

Sleepy boy fell asleep after about 20 minutes of walking.

I guess alligators didn't scare these people.  There were quite a few swimming in the designated area.  Apparently there are nets keeping the alligators out, but that still makes me nervous.

Swinging like a big boy all by himself.

A little old couple came walking by with their dog, and let Braylon pet it.  He then screamed and cried histerically when the dog had to leave. :(  He is definitely an animal lover.

He liked walking around collecting sweet gum balls that had fallen from the sweet gum trees.

Fun Times at the Mall!

Today I took Braylon to the Woodlands mall to take advantage of the indoor play area and carousel.  He really enjoyed the play area, but wasn't too excited about the carousel.   We also got to finally see four month old baby Scarlett.  She is the daughter of one of my good friends from college, Lynsey, who now lives in Houston.  It was great to catch up and Braylon loved chatting with the baby :)

Braylon DID NOT like this car when it started moving.
