Park

Brad left Monday morning to go hunting in South Texas, so Braylon and I stayed in Rockwall.  Today I took him to the park and he had lots of fun!

First we walked the trails and stopped by the pond....
Then we scoped out a potential birthday party location...

...made our way to the dog park and saw the dogs playing....

....and our final stop - the big playground!

First, we hit up the swings...

...then the tunnel...

...the slide...which he usually could care less about, but this one he LOVED!...

....after sliding, he crawled around through some more tunnels, up some stairs, and into some older boys

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back!

Braylon's First Christmas

Braylon had a great Christmas.  We spent it in Rockwall at Nana & Papa's house with Blake, Krista, Bonnie, Jason and Gage.  Christmas Eve, my Papa(Braylon's great-grandfather), Cody, Lindsay, Garrett, Andy, Mandi, Mabry and Gage Mitchell all stopped by.  We opened presents Christmas morning.  Braylon got a tent with a tunnel, a rocking horse, cars, book, glow worm, clothes, and a couple other toys.  He didn't care to open the presents, but he did like the bows on the presents.

Christmas Party

Last night was the Christmas party for Brad's office.  The food was amazing and we all had a good time.  Braylon was the life of the party even though he only had a thirty-minute afternoon nap.  He was out like a light once we got him in his comfy crib.

Aunt Ali brought Braylon an early birthday present.  We had fun playing outside with it yesterday.

Brandon/Volker/Jenson Christmas

This weekend we celebrated Christmas with Gramma Dar, the Jensons, and the Brandons here at our house.  We had a great time, and it was a blast to see everyone.  All the kids did so well together and had fun playing outside with Brady's new four-wheeler and the Ranger.
Braylon was checkin' out Brady's new four-wheeler.  That thing is pretty cool!

We celebrated Brady's birthday.  He turned three on Monday!

Emily & Luke

Elle with the "Moon Dough" we got her.  It was a BIG mess!  Sorry Bob & Emily :)

Braylon got this Mater truck and a set of play balls.

All the cousins:  Luke, Braylon, Elle, and Brady holding Tate

Play Area

We cleaned out a little space in the living room for Braylon's new toy boxes and play mat.  It's nice to have a place to store all of his toys, since he's always playing in the living room with us.

9 Month Check-Up

Braylon had his 9 month check up this morning.  He didn't have to get any shots this time, but he did get his finger pricked so they could check his Iron levels.  He didn't know they pricked his finger, but he did manage to get the band-aid off in record time.  He had some congestion in his ear, which didn't come as a surprise since he's getting over a cold.  Other than that, he was healthy and growing well.  We also got good news-the doctor couldn't hear his heart murmur anymore.  He weighed about 22lbs (75th percentile).  He was 31 inches tall which was off the chart...so this means he's taller than all the kids his age.  He grew almost 3 inches in 3 months!

Daddy's Helper

Brad was putting together some toy boxes and Braylon had to be right there beside him.  It was cute.  He liked looking at the shiny screws.

9 Months Old

My how time flies!  Yesterday, sweet Braylon turned 9 months.  He spent most of the day with Suzy and Tommy(his favorite baby sitters), while Mommy & Daddy went to the SHSU playoff football game.  This past month he had his first Thanksgiving and got sick for the first time.  He tried salmon and loved it!  He also had some fresh strawberries, pumpkin bread, and a ginger bread man.  He enjoyed all the new foods.  He still smiles at strangers and is a very happy baby most of the time.  He will fake cry, fake cough, and fake laugh, which really makes US laugh.  Maybe acting is in his future.  He is learning to stand on his own, and will slowly lower back down to his knees after a few seconds when he's ready to go somewhere.  He will give us kisses and high fives, and is constantly making us laugh with his funny faces.  We go to the doctor for his 9 month check up on Wednesday, and I'm very curious to see how much he's grown.
