Trying to Be Like Uncle Blake

It was so cute seeing Braylon play with Uncle Blake's guitar.  He loves music.   Maybe one day he'll be able to play as good as his Uncle. :)

Visiting the Brandons

On our way home from Rockwall Wednesday, Braylon and I stopped by Emily & Bob's to see everyone.  It was cute to see Braylon playing with them and all their cool toys!  He had lots of fun and I enjoyed seeing them and holding that sweet baby, Tate.

Dream Come True

This past Saturday, I was loading up to head to Rockwall since Brad was going to be gone for a work training.  Brad had gone to work that morning and said he would be back in 30 minutes.  Well 30 minutes turned into over an hour.  I was getting impatient waiting for him to come back so we could say bye and get on the road.  Little did I know he was really at work buying World Series tickets!  This has been a dream of mine and it made it even more special since it was the Texas Rangers- my favorite team!  When Brad surprised me with the tickets, I started tearing up I was so excited and shocked.
The night before, he had secretly set it up for my Dad to go with me to the game while my Mom watched Braylon.  What an awesome husband, right?!  My Dad and I got to the field at 4:00 Monday afternoon even though the game didn't start until 7.  The Rangers won that game 4-2.  It was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience!  I'm such a lucky girl! :)
Sorry but this is the only picture I have right now.  All the good ones were taken on my mom's camera.

There's Nothing Like...

...the sound of a baby laughing!  It's contagious!  I'm holding back so I don't ruin the video...

This one is just sweet watching Gus watch Braylon.

Standing to Sitting

Braylon has been getting good at getting from standing to sitting, which is GREAT because there's a lot less head banging goin' on around here.  He also can move along the couch and coffee table as he pleases.  He's managed to walk three steps holding on to his walker toy we got him.  He has attempted to stand on his own a couple times, but kinda by accident...he was just so set on grabbing something that he didn't realize he was letting go of what was holding him up.  Both times he quickly grabbed back on to what was helping him stand without falling to the floor.  Here he is trying to get back down to get his pacifier he spotted on his blanket:

Clapping?

I think this is Braylon attempting to clap.  He also will slap the floor, the couch, and the coffee table.  I don't know how he learned to clap like this, because this is definitely not how I showed him.

7 Months Old

I can't believe our little baby is 7 months old already.  He has progressed so much in just one month.  He says "mama" and "dada" and it seems like he's starting to equate that to Brad and me.  He crawls, pulls himself up on things very well now, and can easily go from laying to sitting and then to crawling.  He still smiles at strangers but will kind of shy away now.  He has kind of gotten to the separation anxiety stage where he will sometimes cry when we leave the room.  He still has no teeth, but we occassionally let him try to finger feed himself soft foods.  He responds to "no" and his own name.  He will sometimes scream to get attention or when he's frustrated or bored.  He goes down for bed at night around 8:30 and will wake up between 7:30 and 8am.  He naps twice a day for about 2.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the afternoon.  He eats baby food twice a day and four 6-8 ounce bottles.  He quickly went from wearing 6-9 month pants to 12 month...they are a little long, but the 9 month pants are too short.  Brad and I love going into his room after he wakes up, because he gets the biggest smile on his face.  That's one of my favorite things, along with him slowly drifting off to sleep in my arms and hearing him laugh.  He's a little bundle of joy and we love him to the moon and back!

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday afternoon, Braylon and I went to the Pumpkin Patch on the square.
