Wyatt is 10 Months

Wyatt is now 10 months old.  I love this age, because you can really see how they soak up every little thing.  He now can wave "hi"...sort of.  He just kinda sticks out his hand when you say 'hi' to him.  He's also a dancer now, bouncing up and down whenever he hears music.  It's pretty cute! Wyatt knows "dog" and will look over to them when we say "where's the dog?"  Funny thing is, though, he seems to be allergic to the rascals.  Our dog, Gus, rubbed against Wyatt, and he immediately began rubbing his eyes, his face turned red, and even broke out in hives.  We gave him some Benadryl and he was fine, but Brad and I were a little discouraged.  We have always been dog lovers, and love seeing the interaction between them and Braylon.  I guess Wyatt will just have to miss out on that, but we will keep our fingers crossed that he "grows out of it."  (Don't worry Gus and Hoss...we won't get rid of you!!)

He hasn't been eating all that great lately, so I'm thinking he will get another tooth soon.  He sleeps from about 7:30p.m. to 7:00a.m.  His hair is brighter than ever it seems, and reminds me of a little leprechaun, especially when he wears green!  He has stood up with no support a few times, but hasn't figured out how to take a step.  He still follows his brother around and loves playing with him(when Braylon allows him to).  I love that they are more capable of actually playing together now.  It is so fun seeing them interact and laugh together.  I can't wait to see how they get along in the months to come.

This is him saying 'hi'

Love It

Our boys have so much fun outside.  We could spend all day, every day out there.  Braylon loooooves playing with "Gussy."  And Wyatt, as you can see, is a happy camper being pushed in the swing.

Aww

Five Years

Not the best pictures, but they at least capture the moment for us to remember.

Brad and I celebrated our fifth anniversary on March 14th!  We were lucky enough to get away for a couple days and spend some quality time together in Galveston.  We visited the aquarium, the Lone Star Flight Museum, had some yummy food, and relaxed!  Even though the weather on Saturday was pretty dreary, we still made the best of it.  After all, it wasn't like we were planning on spending the time sunbathing on the beach or by the pool...it was pretty chilly!

What an amazing five years it has been!!  How did I get so lucky?!

Home Improvements

The past few weeks, we have been doing some renovations on the house.  We got all the windows replaced, a new garage door, and all new siding. We also repainted and went with darker trim this time instead of white.

Braylon Turns Three

My little munchkin is not so little anymore.  He talks so well and some of the things he says are hysterical. He has a pretty vivid imagination, calling balloons we had around the house "space rocks..." and playing in the bath tub one evening pretending to be a submarine.  He is a typical little boy who loves cars and planes, and will get dirty and rough every single day.  While he can be very challenging, telling us "no," hitting, and not listening, he also can be very sweet and empathetic. He is a whiz at puzzles! He will complete a brand new 24 piece in no time. He and I have been working on writing with a pencil, phonics/letter sounds, completing patterns, and comparing (what's the same and what's different). He has done pretty well with all of them. These are some of his favorite things in his own words:

Toy-airplanes
Dinner-chicken
Show-Little Einsteins
Friend- "Wondon" aka London
Animal- cow
Dog- Gus
Snack-fruit snacks
Color-blue

We celebrated the day by waking up to a bunch of balloons and yummy muffins.  Then we met Daddy and some friends at Incredible Pizza for some lunch, cupcakes and games. Braylon had a blast with his friends playing games and even bowled on this mini bowling alley for the first time.  We capped off the day with dinner at a Mexican restaurant in town and more cupcakes, of course! It was the perfect day!

9 Months Old

Big Red turned nine months old on February 26th! He has been a little under the weather with a nagging cough, sneezing, and runny nose.  He is still a pretty happy baby though. He is also a great eater, eating a lot of table foods, such as chicken, broccoli, cheese, and even pizza.  He will cruise along side the couch, table, and anything he can get his hands on to stand up and provide support.  He will walk with his walker and has stood up on his own, but no steps yet.  He has learned to shake his head "no," raise his arms when I say "arms up" and "talks" a lot. He will even bounce up and down to some music now, which makes me laugh! We are working on some sign language like "more" and "all done," and he has yet to wave hi or bye.  Maybe he is just anti-social  ;)

He has two bottom teeth, wears size 12 month clothes, size three diapers, and eats three meals a day with three or four eight ounce bottles.  He weighed 20lbs 8oz (50-75th percentile) and was 30.5" long(above the curve). Wyatt is a tough little boy who hangs in there when Braylon tries to wrestle with him.  Just as we are about to put a stop to it, worried he might get hurt, Wyatt will go back for more. The poor fella' even fell off our bed the other day and didn't even shed a tear! Maybe we should start calling him "Tough" like the infamous bull rider.

This is Braylon at nine months.
