Sunshine

We are loving the beautiful weather here lately. Wyatt was stoked to play on the swings at the park, and race his brother in the driveway. And Braylon, well, that kid is happy just to step foot out the door no matter what he's doing.  His behavior has been much improved too!! Thank you, Jesus, for the sunshine! Lets keep it comin'!!

Braylon's New 'Do

Braylon's hair was getting pretty long, and Daddy thought he was starting to look like a girl. Soooo, I took him to get those long locks chopped off in exchange for a big boy haircut. He was such a good client and the hair turned out awesome!

Big Boy

Wyatt grew out of his infant carrier, which is kind of bittersweet. Packing it away in the attic made me a little sad when I thought about not having any more babies. The little ones I have now are just growing up too fast.

Here's Big Red in his new seat looking prrreeety uncomfortable...

Bookworm

It was a little after 10 p.m. the other night when Brad and I were shuttin' it down and calling it a night. Brad went to peek in on Braylon before getting in bed, and he found him in a sea of books. He was so quiet we thought he was asleep, but apparently not. It was pretty cute. I think the reading nook I'm doing in his new room will get a lot of use.

Fun Times

If only I could train Braylon to do this every time...

I had a MOPS meeting this morning, and when we left, it had turned out to be a beautiful day. I was so happy for the warmth and sunshine that I let Braylon skip his nap. Look at all that STATIC from doing flips on the trampoline!

I was cleaning up dinner when Wyatt climbed on top of the dishwasher, then stood up. He loves the dishwasher!

Maddie Turns Three!

Braylon's friend, Maddie, had a birthday party this past weekend. She requested a pink tea party and her mom definitely delivered. It was adorable!
Braylon with the birthday girl-That's future prom king & queen material right there ;)

He really took his time decorating his cupcake, then announced "There! I did it!", when he was done.

There was even a pinata and Braylon had no idea what to do! I had to clue him in on how everyone picks up candy when it broke. He said "I got a trick-or-treat!" :)

The Big 3-0

I turned 30 years old January 10th, but didn't really get to celebrate until recently. Sweet Brad took me to a nice dinner at Babin's, then to see the movie Lone Survivor. It was an amazing movie but quite depressing. Nonetheless, I had a great night with a great man.

Later that same week, some friends and I went out for manicures and pedicures then to dinner at Benihana. We all had some good laughs and much needed "girl time." It was a perfect way to celebrate and wrap up my twenties. So long, I'll miss you, but I'm pumped for what my thirties have in store for me :)

Wyatt is 8 Months Old

Wyatt turned 8 months old! He seems so big to me. He eats three meals a day and about four or five bottles. He's exploring with more table foods now, and has had apple, banana, potato, peas, chicken, steamed broccoli, cheese and all types of crackers.  He has two teeth on the bottom. Wyatt will crawl all over the place, and has even taken about ten steps with his walker toy. He is very happy and does so well playing independently. He loves playing in the laundry basket when I'm folding clothes and getting his grubby, little hands on the silverware when I load and unload the dishwasher. :) It's funny how the simplest things fascinate him still. He's sleeping great now from about 8p.m. to 7 a.m., and two naps during the day, ranging from one to two hours. Here's both the boys at 8 months. Everyone says they look just alike except the hair.
