Cutie-Patootie

I take so many pictures that sometimes I forget what all I have taken.  Here's some recent ones that never managed to make the blog.

Lynsey's Baby Shower

Lynsey was one of my best friends through college.  I was so excited for her and her husband when they found out they were having a baby girl.  Her shower was this past weekend.  It was fun despite driving an hour and a half there and then two hours back with traffic.

Bath Time

This is what bath time is like at our house most nights.  Both of these clips are from last night.

Moves Like Jagger

Braylon has some hilarious dance moves.

Cool Book

I got this neat book for Braylon the other day called What Makes a Rainbow? to help learn colors.  He seems to really be enjoying it.  I would definitely recommend it.
Each page focuses on one color of the rainbow.  A ribbon of that color threads through as you turn each page, starting with red, then orange, and so on.  This is the orange page, so you see the red and orange ribbons up top.

Then at the end, a rainbow pops up :)

Buuuubbbblllleees!

We got a new bubble machine.  Here's Braylon in a tornado of bubbles.

Mmm, mm, good!

Braylon loved the spaghetti and meatballs I made for dinner the other night.  It was kinda surprising, because he hated the jarred stuff when he was younger.  I guess I can't blame him...

Check Out Those Chompers

Braylon's two top teeth came in January 4th and 5th, and I finally got some pictures of them.  They look huge, but it's adorable seeing him smile with those pearly-whites.
"Yes, Uncle Blake, I use these to eat up my favorite bread- Nature's Own Honey Wheat.  Mrs. Baird's is yucky!" (Blake works for Flowers Baking Co. in SA)

Push-Pop

I got these cool push-pop things from my mom where you just put fruit or yogurt inside and freeze it.  Since Braylon had a rough day yesterday, I thought it would be a perfect time to give it a try.  We filled it with strawberry yogurt, and Braylon enjoyed it after his dinner last night.

Ouch!

Braylon was playing with his Mater truck over by Brad's safe yesterday.  He fell back and hit the back of his head right on the edge of the safe.  It left a knot on his head and it wasn't pretty.  Ouch!

More Fun Outside

These are from last Friday but I had forgotten all about them.

Hangin' out with Hoss

Braylon was patting Hoss on the head, and Hoss was so sweet and patient with him.  When Braylon was done, Hoss quietly moved to the other side of the house.  I think he wanted some alone time :)

Pushing Mater through the yard.  If only he could do the walking without the toy...

28

Yesterday was my 28th birthday, and I got to enjoy a nice night out with my two boys! :)

SHSU Game

This past weekend we got to go to the SHSU National Championship game versus North Dakota State.  Despite going undefeated all season, the Bearkats lost.  It was fun to get to go though!

Lemon Lover

Braylon and I met some of my old college friends for lunch today.  I handed him the lemon out of my water, and he chewed on it for quite a while.  I thought once the coldness went away (he likes anything cold since he's teething ), he would spit it out, but I was wrong.  He just kept sucking on it.  This reminds me of his Papa who can eat a whole lemon with salt and actually enjoy it.  Yuck!

10 Months Old

This past month Braylon has learned to dance.  He will bounce up and down or move his head from side to side when he hears music.  He babbles and tries to talk all the time.  He knows what "bear," "dog," and "ball" are.  He will sometimes sign "more" when he wants more food, but is still learning what it means.  He's still napping twice a day and sleeping 11-12 hours at night.  He's starting to cut his two top teeth, and it looks like one of them should be coming in any day now.  This has made him a little clingy lately.  He had his first Christmas at Nana and Papa's.  He also had his picture taken with Santa, and he loved him!  His attention span has definitely gotten longer.  You can certainly see a difference in his ability to obtain new information.  He has been like a little sponge soaking up what ever you have to teach him.  It's fun to see and he has been such a bundle of joy!

Dancing

Braylon now knows how to dance.  Here are some of his moves caught on camera:
