Easter Round 2

Braylon and I met up with friends this morning for a little Easter egg hunt at the park.  This time he actually hunted the eggs :)
We were keeping them occupied with tree climbing while the eggs were being hidden.

Mr. Grumpy wasn't being too photogenic today.

Spring has begun...

...and we're loving every minute of it.  Well, I take that back...we could do without the massive amounts of pollen caked on everything in sight.

Braylon loved watching Daddy catch fish from our pond.  He even pet one of them.  Little did he know they were going to be our dinner that night.

Easter Eggstravaganza

Today was a day full of Easter activities.  This morning we met friends for Story Hour at the public library, where Braylon was bored with the story, but loved the craft.  They made little paper Easter baskets, then got to have a little egg hunt outside.  He loved it!

After nap, we went for round two.  We headed over to a friend's house for an Easter party.  There were lots of yummy treats and fun activities for the kiddos, including an Easter egg hunt.  Braylon did not care about the Easter eggs AT ALL.  Why, you ask?? Because this friend owns a trampoline, and that's all Braylon wanted to do.  Who could blame him?!

All the kids waiting to hunt....EXCEPT for Braylon.  You can find him on the trampoline.

The best of what I had to choose from.  He was too preoccupied with his cheese balls.
Braylon gets along well with Crosby!

New Park

Braylon has been loving his new water table!

This is definitely not like Braylon to want to lay with me while outside.  He was running a 101 degree fever that day and the next morning.  We finally got him in to the doctor and discovered he had an ear infection.  Thankfully, he is back to normal now!

Braylon has been wanting to wear sunglasses lately.  It cracks me up!  This was when he was still sick with the ear infection last week.

Happy Birthday, Braylon!

This Saturday, we threw Braylon a birthday party at our house.  The theme this year was the movie UP(balloons), since he LOVES balloons and the movie. Complete with a bounce house, lots of balloons, rainbow cupcakes, friends & family, it turned out to be a blast.  He and his friends loved the bounce house and the new swing set.  I was happy that our little guy had a good day with almost all the people he loves.  Thank you to my amazing husband, mother-in-law, family, and Suzy for helping it all come together. :)  This may be the last year we go all out like this!!

Family Photo Shoot

While in Dallas for Luke's and Gramma Dar's birthday, we had family pictures taken.  I was so impressed with the kids' cooperation and with the photographer's ability to get them all to smile.  They turned out great, which is a hard thing to accomplish with that many kids.

Two Years Old

This past Sunday was Braylon's 2nd birthday.  We celebrated his birthday, Gramma Dar's and Luke's in Dallas all in one weekend.  We had a great time and are looking forward to Braylon's big birthday party at the house this weekend!

Now that Braylon is two, he is starting to speak in complete sentences.  He sings songs all the time, including Carrie Underwood, the ABCs, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  It's funny when he busts out singing a Carrie Underwood song out of nowhere. :)  He will even put some fluctuation in his voice.

He can be very adament when he doesn't want something, so I usually have to remind him to just say "no thank you".  He's getting along better with others, and by that, I mean he doesn't hit as often.  He's still not quite sure what to think about the baby.  He really could care less right now.  That may all change once baby brother is here.

He's still growing like a weed, measuring three feet tall (90th percentile) and 31 pounds (75-90th percentile).  He loves his dogs, playing in the water, balloons, balls, and Buzz and Woody.

He smiled real big when we all sang Happy Birthday to him Sunday morning.  He got to have his favorite breakfast treat, DONUT HOLES!

Braylon loved getting to play with his cousin, Brady.  When we were at the park for Luke's party, Braylon kept saying "c'mon Brady", even though Brady was nowhere near him.
