Mutton Bustin'

We went to the Walker County Fair and Rodeo a couple weekends ago, and Braylon was entered into the Mutton Bustin' event for 4-7 year olds. He came in 2nd place in his round and got to ride in the finals. The fair rides in the background were very tempting, so we weren't sure Braylon would ride the second time. But he did and ended up winning 4th place overall out of about 75 kids! He even got his very first trophy. We had a lot of fun and were so happy and thankful his family came to see him. Grammy Dar, Grampa Rollie, Nana, Papa, Aunt Emily, Luke, Tate, Elle, Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Jason and Harper were all there to support him and cheer him on! Even his "girlfriend," Breese came and he had the biggest smile when he saw her (see below)...

Easter

This Easter, Brad went fishing with his friends at the Brazos river and camped out on Good Friday. There was an Easter Egg hunt in town Saturday, so I took the boys. They took pictures with Sammy the Bearkat (our college mascot), the Easter Bunny, played some games, then hunted for eggs. They even provided a free hot dog lunch. After lunch, we headed home for some egg decorating, cake baking, and face-painting. The boys had a fun-filled day! Daddy got home later that afternoon. The next morning, we went to church as a family, and enjoyed a day at home. The boys did another egg hunt and had a blast with confetti eggs that Suzy and Tommy brought them. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Christ's resurrection!
