Rolling Over

Wyatt rolled over from tummy to back at five weeks old. Two nights ago, he mastered the roll-over from his back to tummy. While this is a milestone for babies, to me it is kind of bittersweet. Now if I lay him down he won't always be in the spot I left him. He also will roll over to his tummy in the middle of the night and wake himself up (and Mommy). I guess he forgets he can roll himself back to his back, because he gets very frustrated after finding himself on his tummy after a few minutes. Anyways, here he is rolling over...

Wyatt is Three Months Old!

Yesterday Wyatt turned three months old!  He's such a happy baby and hardly ever cries. He loves bath time, walks in the mornings with brother, his pacifier, peekaboo, and his jumperoo. He has discovered his hands so he sucks on his fist, and he has had his first laugh out loud. He has been trying real hard to roll to his tummy when we lay him on his back, so I'm sure he'll be rolling over both ways soon! He tries to pull himself up to sitting position as well. He seems to prefer to sleep on his side now also. Wyatt will usually sleep from about 9:30p.m. to 6:00a.m. with two or three naps a day.  The big boy is wearing size two diapers and 6-9 month onesies. We love his chubby thighs, his dimples, and pretty blue eyes. We are so blessed, and even big brother Braylon is enjoying his baby. When he hears Wyatt cry he'll say "aw are you hungry?" or "it's ok, it's ok." He'll also give Wyatt kisses and his pacifier if he needs it. What a good big brother.  :)

More Photos from Florida

Beach Photos

We had professional photos done on the beach while we were in Florida, but these are just a few I snapped with my phone.

Trip to Florida

This past week our family headed to Navarre Beach for the second year. Gramma Dar, Brad's sister, Emily, her three kids (Elle, Luke, and Tate) and her husband, Bob, were all there. Bob's parents and sister came too. We got quite a bit of rain but not enough to ruin the vacation. The weather was actually quite pleasant. During our week there, we rode jet skis, had family photos done on the beach, shopped in Pensacola, walked to the pier, and of course, played in the sand and water. The kids had a blast and Braylon became obsessed with jet skis. He would have a meltdown every time his turn to ride was over. Wyatt was great the whole time. He would hang out in his stroller on the beach and sleep mostly.

A couple days before we left, poor Gramma Dar had to go to the E.R. after experiencing some excruciating pain in her foot. We all thought she might've got pinched by a crab since it left a puncture, but she actually got stung by a sting ray! Apparently they're bad there this year. We all weren't too eager to get in the water the next day. Other than that, the trip was a lot of fun and hopefully we'll all get to go again next year.
This bbq joint in Mississippi is known for it's delicious bbq. There's even a show on the Food Network about this place. We had lunch there on our way to Florida.

Boys will be boys.

Tate's Second Birthday

We went to Dallas for Tater's birthday this weekend. The party wasn't until Sunday, so we had all day Saturday to hang out and go swimming. The weekend went about as smoothly as can be expected with six kids under the age of seven. Braylon got the nickname of "car chunker" since he gave poor Luke a black eye by throwing a hotwheel. Bedtime was a nightmare every night. Braylon would cry hysterically and say "go see Luke and Tate." He really loves his cousins even though it's not always evident (I.e. Luke's black eye).

Wyatt, on the other hand, was a delight. He slept great, never cried, and loved chillin' in the pool. The kids were so cute with him. Here's some of the funny comments that were made:

Elle: "Why is his hair red like Tate's? Brown-haired people are smarter."
"Can I be Wyatt's big sister?"
Luke: "Why are his fingers so small?"
"Why does he have a diaper on?"
"Can I be his big brother?"

The boys had a blast swimming and playing with their cousins. The party at the Splash Pad was great, too, even though there's no pictures to show it. We all came home exhausted, especially the boys (Wyatt slept from 9:30p.m. to 6 a.m.)
