Two Months with Wyatt

Wyatt turned two months old yesterday. He is a hefty little baby with lots of smiles. He is barely fitting into size one diapers and size three month clothes. When he gets a bottle, he will eat about four ounces. Wyatt also is strong enough to hold his head up pretty well, put all weight on his legs when we stand him up, and roll over from tummy to back. It seems as though he is just as eager to grow up and just as active as his brother was. And that, my friends, makes me nervous for the future. Two active little boys is going to be chaotic :) Wyatt has been a joy and we love that he can coo back at us now. He's also a pretty good sleeper, waking up for only one feedng in the night. He goes down around 9:30 and wakes around 2:30 or 3a.m. Then will wake around 5:30, and is back to sleep til about 8. Hopefully,  he'll be able to go without that 3 a.m. feeding pretty soon. We head to the doctor on Wednesday for his two month check up, and I'm anxious to see how big he's gotten.

Thanks for my new bib Grandpa Rollie. Mom and Dad got a kick out of it, and Mom says the color looks good on me. Score!

The Movies

Saturday afternoon, Braylon and I had a movie date to see the new Monsters movie. He has been so clingy towards me lately that I thought some time to ourselves would be nice for him. It was his first time going to the movie theater, and he did pretty well. He only got out of his seat a couple times, which wasn't too bad for almost a two hour movie.

First Trip to the Mall with the Boys

I ventured out to the Woodlands mall on Friday with Wyatt and Braylon.  I had my doubts on how it would go, since Braylon is not a big fan of sitting in a stroller (or shopping, for that matter). I was pleasantly surprised though. Both boys handled it well with no major fits from Braylon. At the end of my hunt for a swimsuit, we had lunch, rode the carousel with friends, and stopped by the pet store.

Visiting the Butlers

This weekend we took our first road trip with both boys to New Braunfels to see baby Greyson. The trip there and back was great! Wyatt slept the whole time and Braylon just listened to music, slept a little and watched a movie.  We had a good time getting to see my brother, his wife and their new handsome little guy.  It is amazing to see how big of a difference six weeks makes in a baby's life, though. Wyatt looked like a sumo wrestler compared to Greyson, and they're only about six weeks apart! Little Grey felt like a feather in my arms! My brother and his wife, Krista, welcomed their first child into the world on Tuesday night. He is such a cutie and both baby and Mommy are doing well! Greyson weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces, and is 20.5 sweet inches. I can't wait to meet him on Saturday!

Bath Time

London's Birthday Party

Braylon went to London's Dora-themed party at the splash pad last weekend. Of course, he had to be the one to drive off in the jeep that was just there for pictures. It was after that they realized they should probably unplug the battery. Braylon loved the cool safari hats and ate almost all the watermelon that was for the guests. Everyone got a kick out of him being staked out at the watermelon for a while, though. It was a good party! Wyatt just hung out in his stroller, and the poor thing was all sweaty even though it was 10 o'clock in the morning.

Speaking Of...

Speaking of growing up so fast....which I did on the previous post...Wyatt rolled over from his tummy to his back three times today! I couldn't get video of it but I did get these adorable photos...

He held his head up like this for at least 45 seconds.

I think it is funny Braylon is petting Wyatt like a dog here :D

They Grow Up So Fast1

Wyatt has been getting so big that it's hard to believe he's only five weeks old. He seems to get bigger overnight. He does pretty well with tummy time and holds his head up a little. He also had his first real smile this week while I was talking to him.  Wyatt has been nice enough to give us five straight nights with a four to five hour stretch of sleep, as well. Last night he slept for six hours from 9:30 to 3:30. Woohoo! Lets hope this sleep pattern continues! Oh and he's also going bald, but we still think he's as cute as a button. :)

Braylon's Best Buds

Braylon had some friends over yesterday and they had a ball swimming, painting, and playing on the playscape. Crosby and Gunner are his new best buds, and he even cried when Crosby had to go home.
