It's a GIRL!!!

I'm so excited to finally be getting a little girl on the Butler side! My sister, Bonnie, and her husband, Jason, are having their first baby together, and just found out it's a GIRL!! Woohoo, thank you, God!

Harper Grace, I can't wait to meet you. I can't wait to braid your hair, teach you to throw a baseball better than the boys, and love you like a crazy, obsessive Aunt. I can hardly wait to spoil you with shnazzy clothes, and baby you like the princess you already are. You are coming in to the best family and know we all love you and think you are one beautiful miracle from God. Oh, by the way, you REALLY do have the coolest Aunt....and your mommy is my sister, soooo think how cool she MUST be!? ;) ♡

Hangin' Out at the House

With the weather being so cold and yucky lately, we have stuck pretty close to the house with very little outdoor play. :(
We played A LOT of board games!

We colored.

We painted elephant banks for Braylon to put all his money in (a whole three dollars he earned helping Daddy and Grampa Rollie).

We played outside briefly to pick our fruit and feed the fish.

Wyatt loves our oranges so much, he literally can't wait 'til we get back to the house to eat one.

They checked out the minnows. I think the big fish were staying warm on the bottom of the pond. None came up to eat.

Christmas in Rockwall

The weekend after New Year's, we traveled to my parents' house in Rockwall to celebrate Christmas with them, and my brother and sister's families. We had fun eating yummy food, going to the park, opening presents, and visiting my Granny. It all went by way too fast...as it always does.

My Granny with all the grandkids and great grandkids.♡

Braylon loves his new book I Stink he got from Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Jason, and Gage.

Don't they look so sweet and innocent?!

An eager on-looker watching his brother and cousin, Gage, play soccer.

Wyatt's new talking phone was a big hit from Uncle Blake, Aunt Krista, and Greyson. I think it was the center of a fight or two.

Receiving Avalanche, a Planes movie toy, from Nana and Papa brought a smile to Braylon's face.

Wyatt was excited to see his very own stuffed Olaf from Nana and Papa.

New Mexico, Final Round (I Think)

Here's a couple more stragglers I found in my Gallery :)
See the herd of mule deer!

Same herd. The image looks fuzzy because it's snowing a lot here!

Headed back to Texas, this is what we had to drive home in. It got as deep as eight inches on the highway, and no visible lanes.

My brother's steakhouse. Just playin. We all call him Texas Red though ;)
Here's some recent videos. Wyatt's class sang Jingle Bells for the Christmas pageant. Braylon sang O' Come Let Us Adore Him, but the video was too large to upload on here. Instead, let his Pledge of Allegiance be music to your ears :)

This last one is a time when Braylon got put in time-out for pushing Wyatt. Then Wyatt went to comfort Braylon...so sweet, Lil Red.

New Mexico, Round 2

This Christmas, we spent a whole week in the mountains of Eagle Nest. It was beautiful! We were located right in between Red River and Angel Fire. Being in the middle of two ski towns allowed us to enjoy both. Red River was cute and quaint, with lots of little shops for tourists to peruse, and Angel Fire ended up being better for skiing and sledding. Overall, it was a great trip! I can only imagine how much more fun it will be when both our lil' whipper snappers can hit the slopes (and BTV doesn't get sick)!

Wyatt was pretty happy with the Bubble Guppies books that Santa brought him!

I think he was showing me his new Spider-Man watch here. He loved it!

New Mexico, Round 1

More pics and details to come...

Sledding the first day...Wyatt enjoyed about two trips down, then screamed the rest of the time. He wasn't happy trying to walk in all those clothes in the slick snow.

Braylon and Luke loved it! Poor Brad missed out on this because he was sick. He spent the first two days laid up in bed with the flu or some virus.

View from cabin front porch

The cabin we stayed in was awesome. The kids loved playing in the third level loft, and the adults loved it too! Not to mention the six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and 100 acres of a horse ranch to ourselves.

Driving into the cute lil' town of Red River where Braylon got to ski for the first time!

Braylon had a private lesson that started at 8:15 in the morning. He said he had fun but didn't want to ski again (IT WAS 3°!!!) His instructor said he did well, and only wanted to go fast once he figured out he could. That made it hard to show him how to stop. I wasn't surprised.

Kenzie and Wyatt spent a lot of time with each other, Grampa Rollie, and Grammar Dar. I think they enjoyed it much better than being out in the cold.

Wyatt was not a happy camper on the sledding hill. Right about the time I called it quits and wanted to head to the cabin with Wyatt, the resort security kicked us off the sledding hill. Who knew it was closed??? Woops. ;)
