Happy Thanksgiving

We traveled to Blake's for Thanksgiving and Addison's first birthday. Unfortunately, early Friday morning Brad came down with a horrible stomach bug that kept him in bed (or on the toilet) all day. We had borrowed an RV so he was quarantined in there for 24+ hours. Poor Wyatt also threw up three times that morning. Him and I both had stomach issues the past couple days, but nothing major. Brad definitely got the worst of it. Luckily, he was able to bounce back the next day. That didn't leave others out of the woods though. Addie threw up during her birthday party Saturday and two others got hit by the bug as well. Other than the ilness, we had a great time eating, playing games, and taking the kids to the park and cotton fields.

I just love these photos Bonnie got of all the grandkids!

Just a little snapshot of the past few months... we are alive and well. I'm loving being back at work and the boys have enjoyed their new school. It was quite a transition for all of us, even Brad, but I think we have adjusted well.
Braylon was "Texan of the Week." His teacher picks someone every week for good behavior, and they get to take this stuffed bull home for the weekend. This was him after school on Friday with his best bud, M.J.

He took Toro the bull to the deer lease with Daddy.

I recently took a short trip to California to visit my sweet friend, Hayley. They just moved there and I had the best time exploring Cali with her.

Braylon received this award the 2nd Six Weeks of school for good character, behavior, etc.
Braylon's first report card

We celebrated Braylon mastering all 13 sight word lists by taking a trip to 3 Spoons Frozen Yogurt! So proud of him!

Brad and got a weekend away when we flew to Jeremy's ranch to celebrate his 40th birthday! Stoney LaRue played a live concert and we had a blast!

Jeremy was kind enough to send his private plane to pick us up.

Pre-K Graduation

Sweet Braylon had his Pre-K Graduation ceremony on June 1st. He got the Class Comedian Award, and I'm not surprised one bit. I'm not gonna lie, I teared up a little bit seeing him walk out in his graduation cap and gown. I know the years in public school will fly by and he will be off to college before we know it. Needless to say, he is growing into a sweet young man with that same strong will he has had since birth....and we are so proud of him! :)

After the graduation ceremony, his class got to go to Incredible Pizza! We ate, played games, then Braylon and I headed to his new school! He met the principal and saw where everything was, including my classroom. He is excited to be a Bulldog at his new school next year!

Playing ski-ball with Daddy

Little guy was all tuckered out!

Wyatt turned three years old on May 26th, and I can hardly believe it! He is getting so big! Here are some of his favorites:

Snack: grapes & watermelon
Toy: dinosaurs
Song: Itsy Bitsy Spider
Color: blue
Activity: swim
Friend: Braylon & Sam

Lil Red got to spend the weekend with his cousins,  Gramma Dar, Aunt Ali, Aunt Emily & Uncle Bob. He had so much fun :)

New Puppy!

We laid poor, ol' Hoss to rest April 4th after he completely lost his eye sight and could not get around on his own. It was very sad to watch him walk into trees, stumble down stairs, and get lost. I'm sure he was probably so confused and scared. He lived a good 13 years though, and was a good dog.

Here we are a month later, and we decided Gus needed a playmate. We got "Charley girl" from a breeder here in Huntsville, and so far, she has been a great puppy! We have had her since Monday and she warmed up very quickly to her new home!
Picking her up from the breeder Monday, May 9th. She was a day shy of 7 weeks old.

Day 1 at her new home

Playing with Wyatt

Gus has been pretty good with Charley girl, only growling at her a couple times over food and a ball.

Fishing at the pond

Her first swim in the pond!

Mother's Day Weekend

Last weekend, the boys and I traveled to Rockwall for Mother's Day. Brad stayed back to work on fencing projects on the property.  We took the boys to this cool, new park Saturday morning, and it was a lot of fun!  Then Mom and I went for mani-Pedis while the boys stayed with Papa. It was so relaxing and a good way to spend some time alone with my Mom. Later that evening, we took flowers to my Grandma and Granny's grave sites. Dad made sure it was all lit up at night and it was so pretty to see.
