In the Woods

We went out in the woods to spread seed before the rain comes to help attract a big buck.  Braylon was loving following Daddy around and playing in the dirt.  He was covered from head to toe in dirt, along with a handful of scratches on his legs when we were done.

He saw the word "Polaris" and started saying "A-B-C-B".

Hangin' with the Girls

Braylon usually has at least one boy to play with at the park, but today it was all girls.  He was such a gentleman pushing London on the swing and sharing his snacks with Maddie :)

And there's little Maddie off to the right watching :)

The Weekend

Aunt Ali sent Braylon some cool new toys with Grampa Rollie, and Braylon loves them.  He loved playing t-ball, basketball, and riding the John Deere tractor, although he's still getting the hang of pushing a pedal.  He spent most of his time with the t-ball set.  Maybe we have the next Josh Hamilton on our hands :)

Besides playing with his new toys, he also got to hang with Nana, Papa, Uncle Jason and Aunt Bonnie this weekend.

No Braylon, that's not juice in that can!

Braylon was so excited about his new step stool that Uncle Jason made for him.  He loves washing his hands now.

Hangin' With the Boys

I thoroughly enjoy watching Braylon play with his buddies!  It's adorable how they follow each other around and stick together :)  This is Braylon with the twins, Liam & Jackson, and Jacob.

Surprise!

Brad went hunting this weekend, so I had to wait 36 hours to tell him the news!  Braylon's shirt says "Promoted to BIG BROTHER."  I had a video of Brad's reaction as Braylon walks up and hands him a present with the pregnancy tests inside, but for some reason it won't upload!

Showin' Off

Braylon was really giving Nana, Papa, Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Jason a good show on his rocking horse last night.  This went on for quite a while.  He would keep pushing the horse's ear until the song came back on.

The Adventures of Braylon

This sick little boy from a few days ago is all better now.  This was him laying down in the morning, which never happens.

Since he was back to his normal self, we stayed outside pretty much all day.  We visited Ribeye, the cow....

Check out that tongue!  He was HUNGRY!

Braylon wasn't too sure about his tongue, but then when he saw me laughing, he thought it was funny, too.

After messing with the cow, Braylon played in the dirt...

Here he is putting dirt on himself.  What is it with boys and dirt?

YAY, rock pile!  A boy's dream!

Back home for juice.  I guess he was tired, so he had to sit down to drink.

Aaaannnd, back to playing....on the Ranger.  Everytime I would stop, he'd sign and say "more please".

Friday Afternoon

It was good that Braylon got in some outside time Friday afternoon, because the next morning he woke up with a 102.2 fever.  He kept saying "outside" all weekend.  Thankfully the mornings were cooler than usual, so he did get to play a little outside.

Back to the fever.....we took him into urgent care Saturday morning, because it was obvious he didn't feel well.  The doctor on duty said he had the beginnings of strep and signs of the flu(but the test was negative).  Then Sunday morning he woke up with a horrible rash around his mouth, which also started to show up other places later in the day.  Soooo, we're headed back to the doctor(HIS doctor) this afternoon to see what  the deal is...

I thought it was interesing that Braylon would throw his ball in the grass and then have to pick off all the pieces of grass before he threw it again.

Beaver's Bend Continued

I forgot a few more stragglers from our trip to Beaver's Bend this past weekend.
Little BTV II chowed down on some corn.  He had two cobs.

Garrett and Braylon waiting on breakfast.

Mouth full of banana

Mmmmm, drumstick!  This kid definitely has a healthy appetite.

More Beaver's Bend

While Brad and I were canoeing down the river, Braylon went with Nana, Lindsay, my Aunt Mary, Gage, and Garrett to ride the train.  I was told he kept saying "choo-choo" and moving his arm up and down like he was tugging the whistle.  He loved it!  So cute!

He even saw some deer!

Gage and Garrett had fun on the train, too!

18 Months Old

I can't believe it has been a year and a half since we welcomed little Braylon into the world.  He has changed so much in the past six months!  He weighs 28 pounds (75th percentile) and is 35 and 3/4 inches long (95th percentile).

He can say A LOT of new words: Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Papa, juice, cheese, milk, water, pretzel, fish, dog, bear, more, please, bird, outside, apple, star, ball, Elmo, Buzz, bee, all done, Suzy, tree, hi, bye, Amen, night-night, poo-poo, berries, baby, two, shoes, eyes, nose, toes, knee, puppy, silky, sun, sunshine, bubbles, shows, choo-choo, heart, boots, bo-bo, no, boat, Gage, Tate, Brady, me, mine, moon, turtle, hot, thank you, uh-oh, and part of "Have a good day."

He can sign more, please, thank you, all done, milk, down, help, and water.  He can say the animal sounds for  horse, cow, dog, sheep, owl, chicken, duck, bird, monkey, and cat.  He can identify heart, star, circle, diamond, oval, triangle, and usually square and rectangle.

He loves books, music, Elmo, singing, dancing, balls, dogs, water, Toy Story 2, and RUNNING!  He runs everywhere it seems.  You definitely can't take your eye off him for too long.  Everyone says he is "all boy", and I totally agree.  He's aggressive, rambunctious, dirty(meaning he'll roll around in dirt and love it), energetic, and tough!  I can't wait to see how he changes in the next six months....but don't grow up too fast, Braylon.

This was from last Wednesday night.  Braylon went to Suzy and Tommy's while Brad and I went to dinner and did a little browsing at Academy.

Braylon behaved so well at the doctor's office this morning.  He played with his little laptop and books until the doc came in.  Then was very cooperative and never fussed with the doctor.

Beaver's Bend State Park

My family usually tries to get together every year at Beaver's Bend State Park in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  While it's only a two and a half hour trip for most of the family, for us it was about five and a half hours.  This was our second year to go, and first for Braylon.  He did pretty well on the drive, and had a blast running around the cabin, swimming in the lake, and riding the train.  Brad and I had a good time canoeing down the river one day, despite flipping over once and having to do a lot of rowing at the end with no current to push us along.

Here's the cabin.  I stole these from the website since I didn't get any pictures of the cabin.  That's why you see snow.  It had a huge wrap-around porch with a hot tub and fire pit.

We stopped at Emily and Bob's on the way to stretch our legs and drop Gramma Dar off.  Braylon enojyed playing with Luke!  It was so cute!

We finally made it to the cabin.  We got situated and waited for others to arrive while Braylon, Garrett, and Gage played outside.

The next morning, the men went fly fishing for trout with not much success.  Dad brought back the only fish.  Once they returned, we all loaded up and headed to the lake.  Braylon loved the water, of course.

Brad was helping Joe change a flat.

Braylon playing with Uncle Jason.

He had on big boy undies for a few hours to help clear up a bad diaper rash.  He never even went potty in them.

One of our favorite stops when we come here is a place called "Girls Gone Wine."  My Mom, sister, and I did a wine tasting, sat on the patio and enjoyed a glass, then bought a couple bottles to take back home.
