Alone Time with Wyatt

Wyatt and I have been enjoying our alone time on Thursdays while Braylon is in school. He usually only asks, "Where's Braylon?", right when we drop Braylon off and leave without him. Other than that, he's totally fine chillin' with mommy for a few hours. :)
He gets donut holes for breakfast.

He peruses the toy aisles at Target...in his jammies I might add.

He learns his letters.

Who knew learning could be so much fun! 'A' is for alligator and 'a' is for apple.

School Starts

The 2015-2016 school year is off to a great start. Wyatt loves going to school on Wednesdays! He walks right in and hugs his teacher! When I tell him "bye", he is all smiles and looking excited to play. This year he stays until 3 o'clock and has had no issues napping there.

Braylon, on the other hand, was hesitant to go in his new class the first day, since he's not a big fan of change. Never has been. Brad and I had to give him a pep talk out in the hall. The second day, he went right in and was back to his normal self. He even says he has a girlfriend now, and has NO problem admitting it. I mentioned to his teacher he has been talking about this girl a lot. She said "oh yes, they play together a lot and it's actually quite cute!" And as his mom, I'm definitely not ready for another girl to invade my territory, hahaha. I need him all to myself for a few more years...at least. Lover boy Braylon goes Wednesday and Thursday from 8-3 this year, and isn't complaining about going ;)

It has been so awesome having Wyatt alone for a few hours on Thursdays while Braylon is at school. I get to see a whole other side to him. With Braylon here, he's rough and tough and usually on the defense....or just consumed with whatever his brother does. When he's alone, I see how sweet, polite, and happy he is. He talks a lot more, and is pretty independent. I just love it and want to cherish every moment with him at this age!

Rounding Out the Summer

We've had a pretty uneventful summer, but our little whippersnappers sure kept us busy/entertained.

They always manage to find mud. You can probably see why they get bathed twice a day. At least.

Sending Daddy proud smiles after tee-teeing on the potty like a big boy!

Sheep and Tiger won't (EVER) be still

Keeping cool in the pool

Late nights with this guy. I find it interesting he lined up his pretzels. He does this a lot.

Sweet face

Our lil cowboy. He picked out this shnazzy ensemble.

My SuPeRhErOeS

We made capes out of a random flag my mom gave me, and it was a big hit! Great idea, Mom!

Aunt Bonnie, Gage and Harper came to visit us :)

Exploring Huntsville while waiting on the sno cone truck to open.

There was a little bridge we had to cross and Wyatt got scared. He sat down and would only cross in my arms. It was funny!

Greyson Turns Two/Gender Reveal!

July 10th, the boys and I traveled to my brother's house in New Braunfels to celebrate Greyson's 2nd birthday while Brad stayed home to work on finishing up the back porch (more on that later). We also eagerly awaited the surprise gender reveal of Blake and Krista's new baby. Greyson SLOOOWLYY ate his cupcake sprinkle by sprinkle to finally unveil the PINK cake! It's a GIRL! Yay!! Baby Butler #2 will be here around Thanksgiving and I think we should call her 'Smoochie', not Shanetria or LaFawnduh (uhhum, Blake). Just sayin'. Also, just gonna throw out there that Bonnie and I were the cornhole champions of the weekend, and can't wait to defend our 'ship at our next family gathering. Thank you very much.

Braylon had a good time playing with Hallie, Krista's niece. Such a cutie!

Sacked out on the living room floor at 6:30 p.m. DONE!
