Shapes

Braylon has gotten pretty good at identifying his shapes.  I was actually surprised the other day when we got out his Sesame Street Shape Cards, and he was able to point out square, circle, triangle, rectangle, oval, and diamond (he calls diamond "dada") on the first try. He can only sit through it one or two times before he gets distracted or just wants to start playing with the cards.  We showed Daddy later that night, then I got a recording of it the following day.

Shiner

Braylon got a little carried away yesterday, and bonked his cheek on the hard, decorative nail heads in our leather couch.  It left a good shiner below his eye...

 But he was NOT happy about it at first!

Back to the State Park

I missed out on my Zumba class this morning,  so Braylon and I went hiking at the State Park.  We hiked the trail, stopped and had lunch, then headed back to the trail.  We were there two hours, and Braylon slept the first thirty minutes on the trail(I had to wake him up to eat lunch).  On our way back, he actually got out of the stroller and walked/ran for a while.  His face was all red when we got back to the car.  You'd think he would come home and immediately go to sleep for nap, but this was not the case.  He has been in bed for almost an hour now, and I can still hear him talking to himself and bouncing around back there.

The Weekend

After going on a field trip with friends to the Ellen Trout Zoo on Friday, Braylon and I stuck pretty close to home on Saturday.  Daddy was working a Trade Show in Houston, so we really missed him.  But we still had fun at the park and playing in the back yard.

We have pecans, but they aren't quite ready to be picked yet!

This little boy is all tuckered out and ready for bed.  He made himself comfortable in Mommy & Daddy's bed.

"I Wanna Be Just Like Daddy"

Braylon has been going through a phase where he's all about Daddy.  It's so sweet!  He will cry when Daddy leaves for work in the morning, and only wants Daddy in the mornings.  He will follow Brad around while he gets ready for work.  He also will see Brad's boots by the back door and try to put them on.  I got out a pair of boots that we got from Braylon's cousin.  Ever since then, he always has to have them on.  It cracks me up, but I can't say the same for the fits he throws in the mornings when Daddy has to go to work. :/

Just Another Day

Just another day in the life of Braylon Thomas....

I started taking off my own diaper this morning.

I played on the boulder out back by the pond.

I threw the stick in the pond for the dogs to fetch.

Home Sweet Home

I love Saturday mornings when there's absolutely nowhere we have to go and nothing we have to do...no schedule, commtiments, or rushing around.  It's nice to just be home and enjoy time as a family.  I love watching Braylon play around in the yard and find new ways to entertain himself.  Today, he was having a ball playing with Gus(one of our three dogs) and visiting "Ribeye" the cow.

Braylon knows what Gus likes....sticks!  He found a nice, BIG one!

Singing

Braylon hasn't played with his little microphone in a long time, but today he got it out and sang a few notes!  I quickly grabbed my camera before he stopped "performing". :)
