Another One Bites the Dust

We finally got rid of Wyatt's mysterious rash, then Braylon wakes up with this awful looking bumpy rash. We thought it was poison oak so we treated it like that. Then the next day he went to the doctor. The doctor that saw him said he had a viral infection that was causing the rash and pneumonia. He had a horrible cough. We started on amoxicillin and after 24 hours on it, he was still getting worse. By Friday, we took him BACK to the doctor but this time to his regular pediatrician (*note to self:never go back to Dr. Powell. She misdiagnosed both my boys.). So Braylon's doctor was smart and did a chest x-ray and determined he had bronchitis with a virus causing the rash. He never had pneumonia. He stopped taking the amoxicillin, and immediately started on a steroid and cough med. He finally is rash free, but the cough is still lingering. Poor kid has had a rough week! And double that for Mom and Dad!

-Pediatrician still heard heart murmur but thinks it will go away on its own

April 21, 2011
-rolled over from stomach to back twice
-smiles at people when they talk to him

May 4, 2011 (2 month appt.)
-12lbs 1oz (50-75th percentile)
-24 1/4" long (90th percentile)
-had shots and cried for a few seconds, then was fussy all day
-still heard heart murmur
-sent for 4 different tests on heart and all came back normal

May 13, 2011
-started taking medicine for acid reflux

May 30, 2011
-laughed out loud for the first time when Mommy was playing with him
-smiles all the time
-sucks on fingers now and can bring toy/blanket to mouth

June 1, 2011
-slept from 11pm-8:30am

June 3, 2011- present
-continuing to sleep through the night with two naps during the day

June 5, 2011
-first haircut given by Daddy

June 6, 2011
-rolled over from back to stomach for the first time
-is very ticklish and will laugh sometimes, but other times he gets mad

June 13, 2011
-sleeps from about 10-5 each night, eats then is back to sleep 'til about 8:30
-started playing in jumperoo and likes it- sometimes swats at animals dangling down from it

June 20, 2011
-had his first taste of rice cereal and liked it
-has figured out how to bounce in his jumperoo

July 1, 2011
-started grabbing feet
-wears size 3 diapers and size 6 month onesies
-very ticklish along ribs

July 7, 2011(4 month appt.)
-15lbs 9oz (50-75 percentile)
-27 1/4" long (100 percentile)
-head circumference 16 1/2"
-2 shots and one oral vaccine, cried on 2nd shot and was pretty sleepy the rest of the day
-tried bananas for the first time and liked it
-grabs feet all the time now
-tries mimicking us when we make noises
-will swat at mobile and grab at things(like our noses) now
-has two 30-45 minute naps a day
-sleeps from about 9:30pm-5:30am, eats, then is back to sleep 'til 9 or so
-wakes up most nights trying to roll over and sleep on his tummy...we keep a rolled up blanket beside him to keep him from doing this and he doesn't like it. He manages to get to his tummy anyway.

August 12, 2011
-gets on all fours to rock back and forth like he wants to crawl
-sits up for a few seconds on his own
-sleeps from about 9pm to 7am
-naps are inconsistent-sometimes for more than an hr now

August 28, 2011
-has pretty much mastered sitting up with no support
-got from a laying position to sitting position twice
-constantly babbles what sounds like he's saying "da-da"

September 13, 2011 (6 month appt.)
-28" tall (100th percentile)
-18lbs 9oz (70th percentile)
-still heard heart murmur
-got 4 shots and one oral vaccine
-consistently goes from sitting to laying
-tries to pull himself up on things now
