Today we took a stroll outside to get some fresh air and a little exercise. Braylon enjoyed it, but it wasn't ten minutes or so until he was fast asleep. He stayed asleep the rest of the time we were out there, which was about 40 minutes. Duke & Gus were curious about Braylon and were peeking in the stroller to try and sniff him. Braylon didn't mind them or the bumpy ride in the backyard.

2 Week Check Up
Braylon had his two week check up Tuesday. He left the hospital weighing 6lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long. He now weighs 8 lbs 7oz and is 22 inches long. He had his little heel pricked again for blood work, and he was NOT happy about that. He still has a little heart murmur, but the doctor was not concerned about it because he thinks it will eventually go away. He also said it looked as though his jaundice was almost completely gone and not noticeable(he doesn't look yellow anymore!). Other than that, little Braylon is healthy and happy :) The little munchkin is starting to get used to bath time also!

Our Little Stinker ;)
Braylon Thomas has been such a joy so far. He hates a bath but loves getting his hair washed. He is so precious when he sleeps, which is usually with his hands up by his face or bent behind his head. He also has become notorious for peeing all over the wall, the floor, himself, or Mommy while he's getting his diaper changed. He actually managed to pee on his face last night while I was changing him! Is it too soon to start potty training?!? :) He smiles a lot and you can see his eyes are starting to turn blue. We call him "Little Stinker" because he seems to pass gas quite frequently...like father like son :) But he is the most adorable thing and we love him whether he's passing gas or peeing all over the walls!

Our little bundle of joy...
Braylon Thomas has finally arrived! My water broke Thursday, March 3rd at 3 o'clock in the morning. Labor was going slow, so the doctor gave me some pitocin to speed things up. Once the epidural kicked in, I couldn't feel a thing. We did have a little scare though, because after every contraction, Braylon's heart rate would drop. Once it was time to push, the doctor told me I had to give it all I had, because they weren't sure if Braylon would be able to handle the stress of labor. Sure enough, when I started to push with each contraction, his heart rate would drop. At one point, it seemed like 30 seconds before we heard his heart start beating again, and we were concerned we might have to have an emergency C-section. Then, all of a sudden, the power went out! Crazy! We stopped pushing for 20-30 minutes, which seemed to work out well, because the second time around with pushing, Braylon's heart rate did not drop. After about 20 minutes of pushing, our beautiful baby boy was born at 1:35 pm. He was 7lbs 8oz and 20 inches long. He has a full head of hair and looks like his Daddy :)
