He surprisingly handled drop-off like a pro with no tears. Then when I arrived to pick him up, he was standing right up against the teacher's leg as she changed another little boy's diaper. I said "Uh-oh. Did we have a rough day (as two other little boys were balling)?" Wyatt wasn't really crying at the time, but you could tell he had been. His teacher told me he was fine as long as she was sitting on the floor interacting with all the kids, but as soon as she stood up, I guess he fussed.
Braylon's teacher also told me Wyatt saw his brother on the playground and started crying :'( Poor kid wanted his Bubba, but couldn't have him. They play on the same playground, but the little toddler area where Wyatt was is sectioned off from the big kids' playground. I expected it to be difficult for Wyatt, since the kid has never been away from me, unless he's with Daddy. Hopefully, in a few weeks, he will be excited for school and over the separation anxiety!
I'm very excited for this year, because I know it will be so great for the boys....not just educationally, but also socially. Plus, Mommy really gets so much more done without them! ;)
Here they are before school; Braylon is making an awful "CHEESE!" face, and Wyatt won't stand still. Good times.
